Matilda by Roald Dahl

"The books transported her into new worlds and introduced her to amazing people who lived exciting lives. She went to olden-day sailing ships with Joseph Conrad. She went to Africa with Ernest Hemingway and to India with Rudyard Kipling. She travelled all over the world while sitting in her little room in an English village."

One of my most favourite children fiction since elementary school! I could never get tired reading this over and over again. The story really lightens up the mood. Matilda itself is always been my number one favourite children's characters. Why? Because of her passion for reading has made me love to read books when I was still in my elementary. And imagining her small room filled with so many books and accompanied by a glass of hot chocolate when she read, I would love stay for hours in that kind of room. Matilda Wormwood might not be fabulous like Eloise or outgoing like Madeline (I also love these girls too, though) but her maturity, simplicity and intellectual talents made me love her even more. And let's not forget that she has the ability to move objects through her mind, shall we? :p

"Never do anything by halves if you want to get away with it. Be outrageous. Go the whole hog. Make sure everything you do is so completely crazy it's unbelievable." Matilda

P.S. Sorry for not blogging for a really, really long time (almost one and a half year if I'm not mistaken). 2013 really made me busy from senior high school exams to a new life of being a freshman in campus. Have a great day everybody! :)
